Residential and mixed-use development

  • acting for Frasers Property Group in relation to the development and project sales for a master planned community known as “The Quarry” at Keperra, Queensland
  • acting for Legacy Property Group in an extensive property acquisition and site consolidation program involving almost 100 individual transactions
  • acting for Mirvac on the property aspects of its new commercial tower at 7 Spencer Street, Melbourne, part of a mixed-use development that also includes a BTR residential tower, and with a combined value of A$1bn
  • acting for Pioneer Fortune Limited in negotiating a Project Delivery Agreement (PDA) with Mirvac for Monarch Glen, a new A$2bn master-planned community in Logan, Queensland to be delivered over several decades
  • advising the City of Melbourne on its landmark A$1.7 bn redevelopment of the Southern Precinct (known as Gurrowa Place) at the heritage-listed Queen Victoria Market. The precinct includes three towers (for student accommodation, residential apartments and office space), a new retail village and one of the largest open spaces in the CBD
  • advised Sunland, an unlisted public company and residential developer, on its takeover by Sun Holdings GC Pty Ltd by scheme of arrangement, which enabled Sunland to execute a major restructuring aligned with their business strategy, rewarding shareholders for their contributions and setting a new precedent for companies seeking to buy or sell businesses
  • advising more than 40+ owners corporations on a wide range of property and construction matters including defects, builders warranty claims and other matters.

Property funds

  • acting for HMC Capital (HomeCo Daily Needs REIT) in the sale of multiple large format retail assets including HMC Logan (Qld) and HMC Epping and HMC Ballarat (Vic)
  • acting for National Storage REIT (NSR) in the establishment of National Storage Ventures Fund a joint venture with Singaporean sovereign wealth fund, GIC
  • national Storage REIT (NSR) in the acquisition of the NSW/ACT portfolio of self-storage assets from MAAS Group
  • advising Richmond Bridge, UniSuper and ISPT on fund establishment for ‘Burra Park’, a large industrial development site adjacent to the new Western Sydney Airport
  • advising Bensons Property Group on a high profile, complex voluntary administration and reconstruction
  • advising ISPT and Abacus in the sale of the Ashfield Mall Shopping Centre in Sydney.

Retail

  • advisers to Scentre Group on all leasing, disputes, and workplace matters across its national shopping centre portfolio
  • advisers to GPT Group on retail leasing across a national portfolio of owned and managed centres
  • acting for Precept Property Partners in the acquisition of Katoomba Village Centre in NSW
  • acting for HMC Capital (HomeCo Daily Needs REIT) in the sale of multiple large format retail assets including HMC Logan (Qld) and HMC Epping and HMC Ballarat
  • advising Frasers Property on AFLs and subleases at ECQ Outlet, the final stage in the development of Eastern Creek Quarter in Western Sydney which is anticipated to feature approximately 100 brands
  • acting for Stockland in the sale of Stockland Glendale in NSW
  • advising ISPT and Abacus in the sale of the Ashfield Mall Shopping Centre in Sydney.

Alternative assets

  • advised Sonrac/Unlisted Collection on the sale of the Old Clare Hotel in Kensington, NSW, to an entity within Singaporean-based Invictus Developments group. The sale comprised the entire 69-room boutique, heritage luxury hotel, as well as the underlying property
  • advised National Storage REIT (NSR) on the establishment of National Storage Ventures Fund a joint venture with Singaporean sovereign wealth fund, GIC and subsequent related transactions
  • advised National Storage REIT (NSR) in the acquisition of the NSW/ACT portfolio of self-storage assets from MAAS Group
  • advised Life Care, a leading provider of aged care services in South Australia, on the sale of multiple residential aged care centres to Opal Healthcare – Australia’s largest residential care provider
  • advising a leading specialist healthcare provider on the acquisition of multiple properties/sites across Australia for its expanding network of specialist treatment clinics.
