Best Lawyers 2025 names 33 Holding Redlich lawyers

18 April 24 - Media Release

National law firm Holding Redlich today announces 30 lawyers have been included in the 2025 edition of The Best Lawyers in Australia with a further three early-career lawyers named as Ones to Watch.

The globally recognised, peer-reviewed 2025 Best Lawyers list highlights the success of Holding Redlich lawyers across 25 practice areas, including property, construction, corporate and commercial, employment law, litigation, taxation, transportation, shipping and maritime law.

Notable inclusions in the 2025 edition are four senior lawyers listed for the first time:

  • Brisbane Partner Katherine Hammond listed for both Corporate Law and Mergers and Acquisitions Law categories
  • Melbourne Partner Megan Bishop listed for the Tax Law category
  • Brisbane Special Counsel Robert Lyons, listed on Ones to Watch in the Real Property Law category
  • Sydney Senior Associate Katharine Huxley, listed on Ones to Watch in the Planning and Environmental Law category.

Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch in Australia recognises lawyers who are earlier in their careers for their outstanding professional excellence in private practice in Australia. Those who receive high peer reviews are honoured and represent the top four per cent of lawyers in Australia.

Holding Redlich National Managing Partner, Troy Lewis, applauded the recognised lawyers and said the acknowledgment validates the firm’s ongoing commitment to maintaining the highest standard of client service.

“This recognition in one of the industry’s most respected peer-review global publications reflects the dedication and hard work by our lawyers in consistently meeting and exceeding their clients’ needs and expectations,” said Mr Lewis.

“Naming three of our younger lawyers among the Ones to Watch list is a particular highlight for us, as it reaffirms our professional development and support for young legal professionals as well as our commitment to ongoing career progression for lawyers at every tier,” Mr Lewis continues.

Best Lawyers has earned the respect of the profession, the media and the public as the most reliable, unbiased source of legal referrals. Its first international list was published in 2006 and since then has grown to provide lists in more than 75 countries. Using a combination of nominations, outreach, voting and research, recognition by Best Lawyers is based on peer review and captures the consensus among leading lawyers about the professional abilities of colleagues within the same location and legal practice area.
