Matthew Hamlin is a lawyer in our dispute resolution and litigation practice. Matthew is a litigator with experience acting for a various range of clients in a broad range of matters including complex commercial disputes, matters involving breaches of director's duties, shareholders disputes, contractual disputes, fraud, negligence and personal and corporate insolvency.

Matthew’s recent experience includes:

Acting for Plaintiff shareholder in Supreme Court proceedings in dispute with other shareholder of large civil contracting firm.
Acting in Supreme Court proceedings for shareholder of a large retirement village in a dispute involving claims of oppressive conduct and the equitable right of redemption in relation to a mortgage of shares in the joint venture entity.
Acting for a Defendant in Supreme Court proceedings successfully defending a Barnes v Addy knowing receipt of trust property claim brought by large Sydney private school.

Our 2026 Legal Procurement Series aims to explore key legal challenges in procurement and is specifically designed for Commonwealth Government lawyers and APS staff engaged in procurement activities. This series will be led by Special Counsel, Samantha Haddon. Samantha is a commercial lawyer specialising in Government procurement and contracting, with extensive experience advising Commonwealth entities throughout the procurement lifecycle.
