National law firm Holding Redlich has significantly expanded its Cairns office as it joins forces with two local law firms: Law Solutions and All About Law.

Ranjit Singh, who has been a lawyer in the region for 16 years with Law Solutions, joins the Holding Redlich Cairns office as a partner in the Property & Real Estate practice group.

And All About Law’s Vanessa Maruna, joins the Holding Redlich Cairns office as a special counsel specialising in planning and environment law.

Holding Redlich National Managing Partner Ian Robertson AO writes about the Cairns offices expansion:

Holding Redlich decided to open our office in Cairns in response to client demand and our view of the growth prospects in Cairns and Far North Queensland (FNQ).

In recent years our Brisbane office has performed a considerable volume of legal work for clients in FNQ, including for some significant businesses in the property sector and a number of regional local councils.

Prior to making the decision to open our office we sought the advice of our clients and a number of people we know in politics and local government in FNQ, including local State MP Curtis Pitt. Everyone we spoke to said that a combination of a strong local office combined with our national resources and expertise would be well-received by the Cairns business community, local government, and State Government agencies.

Our office employs local lawyers and support staff with a deep understanding of FNQ and its issues and who will ensure that we are part of the Cairns community. We consider ourselves very fortunate to have been joined by Ranjit Singh and Vanessa Maruna and to have integrated their law practices and teams into ours.

Our firm comprises more than 200 lawyers and a total staff of 400 nationally, with particular expertise in property, planning, environment, native title, construction, disputes, employment, immigration, agribusiness, intellectual property, and corporate and commercial. Our research indicates that there is strong and growing demand for these services in Cairns and FNQ, and our aim is to perform work of very high quality for our clients in the region.
