Virginia is a Special Counsel in our Workplace Relations & Safety Group. She has extensive experience in litigious and non-litigious employment law matters and regularly represents clients in the Fair Work Commission, Equal Opportunity Commission, and other Courts and Commissions.

Virginia has a results-driven approach and places great emphasis on providing pragmatic and timely solutions to clients. Her practical, hands-on and plain-speaking approach allows her to develop effective working relationships with clients across a variety of sectors.


Virginia has advised and represented clients from a range of sectors, including private companies, not for profit organisations, State and Commonwealth government and individuals.

 Examples of Virginia‚Äôs experience include:

  • regularly advising and representing employers in the Fair Work Commission, including defending against unfair dismissal, general protections and underpayment claims
  • conducting wage and employment entitlement compliance reviews and advising on potential risk exposure
  • advising clients on restraint of trade clauses and enforcement
  • advising clients on restructuring and transfer of business
  • representing a client in defending against a sex discrimination complaint
  • representing a client in defending against a disability discrimination complaint
  • advising international clients on employer obligations, assisting with the review and development of employment contracts, policies, procedures and handbooks.
