Tony joined Holding Redlich in October 2007 after spending over 20 years working in the construction industry, most recently for Veolia Water Australia, where he was directly involved in the delivery and operation of various municipal water treatment plants including the Sydney and Gold Coast desalination projects. Tony is also a qualified civil engineer and project manager with many years of hands on experience in infrastructure projects.
Tony has experience in a number of industry sectors including civil construction, petrochemical and water projects. He also has several years’ experience in arranging project insurances.
Tony has a wealth of experience in drafting and advising on construction contracts and all aspects of project delivery from start to finish.
He has the distinct advantage of being dual qualified as both a lawyer and a civil engineer.
Having worked for more than 20 years in the construction industry, he not only has a solid understanding of the key legal issues involved but also an exceptional awareness of the commercial realities of construction and infrastructure projects. Having worked in the field of civil contracting and advised several Councils, he is very familiar with the challenges faced by local government authorities. He has an in-depth knowledge of a variety of construction projects including building works, civil construction, petrochemical infrastructure, roadworks, drainage, water and wastewater treatment plants and bridgeworks.
