Roslyn is an experienced property and projects lawyer, providing advice in relation to a range of property transactions and projects, including:

  • high value capital transactions, including hotels and resorts and commercial and retail properties
  • residential developments including  off the plan projects and title structuring
  • renewable energy projects
  • approvals and variations of the Foreign Investment Review Board
  • transaction structuring including taxation implications
  • general property advice such as body corporate matters, leasing disputes and state leasehold interests.

Experience

Examples of Roslyn’s experience includes the following:

  • acting for a statutory authority of the Queensland Government in delivering infrastructure projects (including tenure review for land associated with proposed pipelines and strategies and options to acquire land)
  • acting for an ASX listed REIT in the acquisition of properties and associated businesses across Australia
  • acting on the sale and purchase of high value hotels and resorts
  • acting for a renewable energy company for the development of a Queensland wind farm including (including options to purchase, options to lease, options for the grant of easements, laydown licences for turbine construction and wash down licences to address biosecurity risks)
  • acting for developers of residential projects including preparing off the plan master contracts, community management statements, easements and other titles documents
  • acting for developers of commercial projects including preparing development management agreements, options and agency agreements for nomination contracts  
  • acting for an ASX listed company in negotiating and drafting commercial leases in Queensland, New South Wales, Victoria and Tasmania
  • acting for a Japanese airline in the negotiation of a lease of part of Sydney International Airport
  • acting for private entities in the assignment of state leasehold land (such as marina berths and island leases)
  • acting for trustees in bankruptcy in the recovery of real property as a result of voidable transactions under the Bankruptcy Act 1966.
