Michael has practiced exclusively in the areas of immigration and administrative law for the last 20 years. For the last 15 years, Michael’s practice has focused on assisting Australian employers across a range of industries with securing temporary and permanent residence visas for their staff, and with managing their obligations under the Migration Act.
Throughout his career, Michael has achieved significant milestone in his practice, including acting for the Minister for Immigration, being accredited since 2011 as a specialist in immigration law by the Law Society of New South Wales and, in 2012, being appointed for a period as a member of the Migration and Refugee Review Tribunal (now the Administrative Review Tribunal). From 2019 – 2020 Michael was an examiner for the professional accreditation examinations for migration agents.
In addition to assisting with employer sponsored migration, Michael also assists with complex migration matters including applications for review in the Administrative Review Tribunal and judicial review proceedings in the Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia and Federal Court of Australia. Michael also provides a pro bono assistance for clients who are particularly vulnerable.
