Lisa is a Construction and Infrastructure Disputes Partner with deep experience acting on large-scale, complex projects across the transport, energy, mining, commercial development and social infrastructure sectors.

Lisa advises clients on project delivery, contract administration, management of claims and dispute resolution, drawing on her experience resolving disputes through a variety of processes, including mediation, litigation, expert determination and arbitration.

Lisa works with both government and private clients on disputes arising from major infrastructure and PPP projects, including the North East Link Project, West Gate Tunnel Project and Level Crossing Removal Project.

Experience

Lisa’s experience includes:

• acting for a major mining company in proceedings against a mining services contractor following a safety incident at a mine
• advising a global mining company on claims arising from mining services provided in Botswana
• advising a tier-one services contractor on linked claims under a PPP hospital project in New South Wales
• acting for a major energy company in Australia regarding damage caused to its pipeline by a third party
• acting for a premier accommodation provider concerning defect claims against a manufacturer
• acting for a joint venture comprising tier-one contractors on a security of payment application arising from a sewage treatment plant upgrade project
• advising a Commonwealth Government department on disputes and claims arising from a national security office project
• advising a Victorian Government department on claims arising from the construction of social housing as part of the Big Housing Build project
• advising various Victorian Government delivery agencies on project delivery and the resolution of claims, including for the North East Link project, West Gate Tunnel project, Level Crossing Removal project and CityLink project
• advising Victorian Government departments on project delivery and the resolution of claims on major road projects across metropolitan Melbourne and regional Victoria, including the CityLink Tulla Widening, M80 Upgrade, Monash Freeway Upgrade, Chandler Highway Upgrade, O’Herns Road Upgrade and South Gippsland Highway projects
• advising the Department of Defence on contract administration and claims resolution for infrastructure projects nationally, including matters involving contractor termination, defects, delays, variations and security of payment claims
• acting for a solar installation company in relation to claims arising from the design, procurement and installation of solar panels and associated infrastructure at a shopping centre in New South Wales
• advising a Victorian Government rail entity on claims arising from a rail safety incident during a track signalling upgrade project
• advising a major airport on contractor delay and variation claims arising from the construction of a terminal, car park and associated roads and infrastructure
• acting for a Victorian Government department in relation to delay claims made by Project Co arising from a PPP research centre project
• acting for a joint venture comprising tier-one contractors in proceedings arising from the design and construction of a desalination plant
• acting for a tier-one contractor in proceedings brought by a principal in relation to the redevelopment of a commercial building.
