Hee Jin Choi is a Senior Associate in our Workplace Relations & Safety team in Canberra. She advises Commonwealth government employers on a broad range of employment, industrial relations and workplace safety matters.

She has experience as both an in-house government lawyer and an employment lawyer within the Commonwealth public sector, including advising at an executive level.

Her practice includes employment disputes, workplace investigations, enterprise bargaining, employment contracts and workplace policies, as well as work health and safety and regulatory compliance matters.

Experience

Hee Jin’s experience includes:

• general protections, unfair dismissal and discrimination proceedings for Commonwealth and other employers
• workplace disputes involving employment terms and conditions, including flexible work arrangements, bullying and workplace sexual harassment
• workplace advisory matters including performance and conduct management, ill and injured workers, termination of employment, remuneration and entitlements, and enterprise agreements
• workplace investigations into bullying, harassment and sexual harassment complaints
• Commonwealth public sector enterprise agreement bargaining
• drafting and advising on enterprise agreements, employment contracts, workplace policies and contractor arrangements
• delivering workplace training on discrimination, sexual harassment, bullying, victimisation, performance management and workplace safety
• work health and safety matters, including assisting employers subject to regulatory investigation.
