Yvonne is a Senior Associate in Holding Redlich’s Corporate and Commercial Group. Yvonne’s practice and areas of expertise focus on commercial transactions, commercial contracting, banking and financial services and trusts and estates. Yvonne is admitted to practice as a solicitor in Ireland, England & Wales and Australia. Yvonne is a past Committee Member of the Irish Australian Chamber of Commerce and a current member of STEP (Society of Trust and Estates Practitioners). 

Prior to joining Holding Redlich, Yvonne worked as in-house Legal Counsel in the banking and financial services industry, both nationally and internationally, and for a leading Queensland university. As a result, Yvonne understands the intricacies associated with often complex systems of governance and organisational units and the importance of getting to know a client’s business in order to add value and tailor commercial legal advice to a client’s needs. Yvonne also has a private practice background in commercial litigation which she believes to be an invaluable asset when drafting and negotiating commercial terms and securing the best commercial outcome for the client.


Corporate and commercial

  • advising a university’s senior executive and faculties on government and private sector primary and secondary funding agreements, project agreements, renewal of the university’s electricity purchase/ sale contract, contract and commercial issues generally in addition to providing advice on contractual risk management, procurement and tender processes
  • advising on, drafting and negotiating, a broad range of commercial contracts including property and construction contracts, sub-contracts, collaboration agreements, joint appointment agreements, IT and software licence agreements, IP assignment and licence agreements, and multi-party joint venture agreements and licence agreements for the sharing of equipment and space
  • drafting, reviewing and updating a university’s template legal documents and standard agreements for use by the university’s faculties and departments.

Banking and Financial Services

  • advising a national regional bank as to the creation, delivery, documentation and marketing of new bank products, services and initiatives to ensure compliance with applicable legislation, regulations and industry codes
  • reviewing, drafting and negotiating a variety of commercial agreements including services agreements, broker/ third party distribution agreements, referral agreements, confidentiality agreements, website terms of use, facility agreements, security documents, franchise lending documents and product and service terms and conditions 
  • acting as lead legal representative on bank projects including digital projects, regulatory projects and projects relating to the introduction to market of new financial products and services
  • reviewing and updating bank terms and conditions, internal policies, procedures and template documents in response to business needs/ legislative and regulatory change.

Commercial litigation and property

  • advising and representing corporate and individual clients in relation to commercial and contractual disputes, property and leasing disputes, debt recovery and the possession of land, disciplinary proceedings and wills, estates and trust disputes 
  • acting for corporate and individual clients in a range of property matters including residential and commercial conveyancing, retail and commercial lending, retail and commercial leasing and licensing matters.
