Lauri Reid


Lauri is a Senior Associate in the Construction, Infrastructure and Projects Group in Melbourne, with experience acting for developers, community housing providers, domestic and international borrowers, banks and non-bank lenders in the financing construction of property and large scale projects. 

Lauri also advises on finance, security including the Personal Property Securities Act 2009, ESG and sustainable finance and projects generally, including social infrastructure projects.


Lauri's experience includes:

  • assisting international and domestic banks with respect to financing, refinancing and syndication of various facilities, including a $330B windfarm facility, an Australian goldmine, an Australian airport, and other finance facilities for large scale projects
  • assisting international and domestic banks and non-bank lenders with respect to management of floorplan, distribution and asset financing, including documentation review and provision of complex tailored advice with respect to security interests pursuant to the Personal Property Securities Act 2009  
  • advising international bank with review, drafting and negotiation of NOK 18 billion restructuring of international shipping entity, dealing specifically with Australian subsidiaries and security to be registered in Australia
  • assisting Bank of Queensland with respect to business front commercial/financial documents and terms and conditions, for asset financing and leasing arrangements
  • assisting Allied Credit with novation of wholesale finance portfolio from Macquarie Bank, providing in-house support to manage legal function after novation, and development and providing on-going tailored legal service solutions in management of portfolio.
