Samantha is a property special counsel with over 11 years’ experience in the sector. She has extensive experience in the sale and acquisition of commercial, retail, industrial and residential properties as well as extensive experience in commercial, retail and industrial, acting for both landlord and tenant clients.

Prior to joining Holding Redlich, Samantha worked as a special counsel in the property team at Piper Alderman.

Leasing

At Holding Redlich:

  • acting for Mirvac in respect of the leasing component of its redevelopment of Harbourside
  • acting for Frasers Property Australia in respect of various retail leasing transactions
  • acting for Centuria in respect of various retail leasing transactions
  • acting for The Salvation Army in relation to various commercial leasing transactions.

Prior to joining Holding Redlich, Samantha’s experience includes:

  • acting for Charter Hall in respect of its various commercial and industrial leasing portfolios
  • acting for a subsidiary of China Investment Corporation in respect of its various commercial assets managed by Mirvac, including undertaking leasing work for three of their assets
  • acting for Investa Property Group in respect of its commercial office property portfolio including undertaking leasing work for six of their assets
  • advising on solar and wind farm lease options for both landowners and renewable energy providers
  • acting for both landlords and tenants in respect of leasing disputes  involving COVID-19 rent relief, non-payment of  rent, breach of lease and market rent review disputes, including re-entry and lock-out processes.

Capital transactions

At Holding Redlich:

  • acting for Centuria in respect its acquisition of various shopping centres, including Cameron Park Plaza and Bathurst Supa Centre
  • acting for Scentre Group in respect of its acquisition of land
  • advising ISPT on easements.

Prior to joining Holding Redlich, Samantha’s experience includes:

  • acting for Charter Hall in its $32.5M acquisition of a property portfolio comprising assets in New South Wales, Victoria and Western Australia
  • acting for Walker Corporation in its $3.2B Parramatta Square development, including reviewing contracts for the sale of land, drafting building management statements, drafting easements and positive covenants, advising on development consent conditions, negotiating with the City of Parramatta Council for outdoor dining licences and sublicences and drafting submissions to valuers
  • acting for Investa Property Group in respect of its $150M acquisition of an interest in 420 George Street, Sydney
  • acting for JP Morgan in respect of its $250M portfolio sale to AMP Capital
  • advising a buyer on the proposed $200M acquisition of shares in Transit Australia Group, including preparing a property due diligence report, and advising on leases and licences in Queensland and New South Wales
  • acting for a renewable energy provider in respect of its options to purchase land, including  preparing due diligence reports.
