Tanya has over 15 years experience as a commercial litigator and has acted for a broad range of clients covering the manufacturing, technology, retail and corporate sectors.

Tanya’s key focus is to understand and promote her clients’ commercial objectives, within the context of the dispute resolution framework.

Tanya’s recent experience includes:

  • acting on behalf of a human measurement technologies company engaged in Federal Court of Australia patent infringement litigation
  • advising and acting on behalf of pool manufacturer engaged in a dispute out of alleged patent infringement 
  • acting on behalf of a louvre clip manufacturer defending patent infringement proceedings in the Federal Court of Australia
  • acting on behalf of a short-term money lending company in successfully defending Supreme Court proceedings brought against it by a franchisee alleging breach of contract and misuse of confidential information 
  • acting on behalf of a property developer in Supreme Court proceedings brought against a local government authority for misleading or deceptive conduct
  • enforcement of a foreign arbitration award pursuant to the United Nations Convention on the Recognition and Enforcement of Foreign Arbitral Awards
  • acting on behalf of the developer of a childcare centre in Supreme Court proceedings against a professional service provider
  • advising and acting on behalf of an energy retailer in a contractual dispute with an IT services provider
