Holding Redlich announces new Chief Executive Officer, unveils focus on technology

27 March 18 - Media Release

National law firm Holding Redlich is pleased to officially announce that Colman Kenna has been appointed as its new Chief Executive Officer.

Colman was previously the firm’s Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer and has a strong knowledge of, and focus on, technology systems – which he intends to turn into a significant focus for the firm.

Commenting on Colman’s appointment National Managing Partner, Ian Robertson said: “We are in the process of reengineering the way we practice law and the way we run our firm, and Colman’s appointment is an important part of this process.”

“We are striving for real efficiency and innovation and this requires the introduction of improved technology and systems into everything we do,” Colman said.

“This is the only way we will be able to continue to meet the needs of our clients now and into the future,” he added.

Colman said the re-orientation of the focus of a national law firm is not a simple task.

“This will be difficult and challenging, we know that. But the key thing is that there’s a great willingness and eagerness within our firm to innovate which is pretty exciting,” he said.

Central to the firm’s renewed focus on innovation is the use of technology to facilitate more effective communication and information exchange with clients. This includes development of bespoke solutions such as client portals, data rooms and electronic communication channels.

Ian Robertson said that while the provision of high quality legal services is essential, clients expect much more.  “Our focus is on providing solutions for our clients and providing extra value through technology, innovation and access to our strong national and international connections,” he said.

“Colman’s appointment is part of the evolution of Holding Redlich, helping position the firm to meet the challenges of the future.  He brings to the role a wealth of knowledge and a commitment to improve every aspect of our firm. This is an exciting time for Holding Redlich,” Ian said.
