Wylie is a Special Counsel in the Dispute Resolution and Litigation practice group.

Wylie has extensive experience in providing strategic and legal advice to clients in litigated matters and alternative dispute resolution processes across a wide range of industries in both the public and private sectors. 

Wylie’s areas of expertise include mining and resources disputes, property disputes, retail and commercial leasing disputes, competition and consumer law disputes, complex commercial and contractual disputes, judicial review and Commissions of Inquiry.

Wylie is recognised in the 2020 edition of Doyles Guide as a rising star in Construction & Infrastructure in Australia. 


Wylie has extensive experience in litigation, insolvency, judicial review, expert determinations, mediation and strategic dispute management across a wide range of clients in various industries including mining and resources, property, education, technology, agriculture and retail. 

Wylie has a proven track record acting in complex disputes for clients in both the state and federal jurisdictions. She has also represented clients in the United Kingdom.

Wylie was formerly the Associate to the Honourable Justice Margaret McMurdo AC, President, Queensland Court of Appeal

Her recent experience includes:

Mining and resources

  • acting for a Queensland mining company in respect of a complex contractual dispute in Supreme Court of Queensland 
  • acting for a Queensland mining company in various expert determinations.

Competition and consumer

  • advising agricultural investors in respect of a claim for misleading and deceptive conduct.

Corporate and commercial

  • acting for a company defending a claim in the Supreme Court of Queensland for breach of a share allotment deed and loan agreement
  • acting for a liquidator in respect of various issues arising out of a liquidation.

Intellectual property, technology and communications

  • acting for a technology client defending a claim in the Supreme Court of Queensland for breach of confidence
  • acting on behalf of a plaintiff in defamation proceedings in the District Court of Queensland.

Property and leasing

  • acting for a commercial client in respect of a dispute concerning leasehold interests in retirement villages
  • advising retail landlords on a variety of issues arising under retail shop leases, including collecting rental arrears, breach of lease and termination of leases.


  • acting for a registered training organisation in respect of a contractual dispute 
  • advising a registered training organisation in respect of regulatory compliance.
