Alex is a partner in our Dispute Resolution & Litigation Group. She has over ten years’ experience practising as a senior lawyer, specialising in commercial dispute resolution.

Experience

Alex has significant commercial litigation experience acting for a variety of clients, from large publicly listed corporations, to small to medium enterprises and privately held family businesses and trusts. 

Alex is well-versed in all forms of dispute resolution and regulatory investigations, and has substantial experience in both Victorian and Federal jurisdictions. She is an advocate for the prompt resolution of disputes both through litigation and by alternative dispute resolution processes such as mediation and expert determinations. 

Alex works closely with her clients to quickly establish their needs and broader commercial objectives from the outset of any dispute, so that results can be secured in the quickest and most effective manner possible.

Supreme Court commercial dispute regarding disclaimer of a retail lease by liquidator. Alex acted for the commercial tenant applying to set aside the disclaimer and the liquidation of the landlord.

Supreme Court commercial dispute regarding specific performance of a contract for the development of land. Alex acted for the landowner Defendant.

Advocate Partners Pty Ltd v Pacific Current Group Limited (VID940/2017) (Federal Court) (2017)

Federal Court Application under the Corporations Act 2001 for inspection of company books and records. Alex acted for the Applicant shareholder.

Supreme Court deceased Estate dispute involving equitable action for recovery of property. Alex acted for the Defendant.
